2008 Charity Partners Announced!
Run or Walk for a Reason...
In 2008 we are partnering with three great non-profit organizations - the Alzheimer's Association, Fields of Honor Military Veterans Museum and Special Olympics Wisconsin - as our official charities to offer you a way to run or walk for a reason!
For any of our events, you can collect pledges or make a pledge to one of these charities when you register. If you participate in the Time Warner Cable Run/Walk on Saturday, September 20, at least $5 of your entry fee will go to the choice of one of these charities! (Just choose your charity when you register.) Also, for the Guardian Kids Fun Run on Saturday, September 20, $1 of each entry will be donated to Special Olympics Wisconsin.
We also are once again offering the American Cancer Society Charity Runner program! Click here to learn more about how you can help fight cancer and receive great perks on race weekend!
Register to today to start making a difference! Here is more information on each of the 2008 Charity Partners:
The Alzheimer's Association of Greater Wisconsin is a private, non-profit organization, dedicated to supporting all persons affected by Alzheimer's disease and related dementias. Their mission is to elimate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.
Through artifacts and memorabilia from the Revolutionary War to the present, this new Museum and Educational Center being built in Oshkosh, WI, honors the sacrifices of our veterans who have served, and still serve today to defend freedom and this great nation.

Special Olympics Wisconsin provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olmpic-type sports for children and adults with cognitive disabilities, given them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in the sharing of gifts, skills, and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
