Relay Marathon

Round up your family, friends, or co-workers and get in on the excitement o f the marathon! Relay teams are comprised of 2-5 people, each of whom runs one leg of the race and hand off the timing chip to the next runner at set relay exchange zones.
Team members will wear a timing chip on a Velcro® strap attached to their ankle and will hand off this timing chip to the next runner at designated Relay zones. The Orthopedic & Sports Institute Relay Marathon starts at 8:00 a.m. and covers the entire marathon course. Relay legs vary in distance (see below).
All participants receive a custom printed short sleeve race shirt and a finisher’s medal to commemorate their race participation and finish at the 2008 Community First Fox Cities Marathon!
The first 600 participants registered will also receive a full goodie bag - so don't miss out - register today!
Each relay team must enter in one of the following divisions:
- Corporate Division - any combination of male or female employees from a company or non-profit organization
- Male Division - all relay team members must be male
- Female Division - all relay team members must be female
- Mixed Division - relay teams may be comprised of any combination of males and females

Relay Marathon Shuttles:
Lamers Bus Lines will provide transportation to the start line and relay exchange zones for all Relay Marathon team participants. Shuttles will make several trips from each relay exchange zone to the finish line and will make the last trip when the last team has completed their leg. If you prefer, you may also provide your own transportation.

**Remember, only first leg runners take start line shuttle**
Bag & Tag:
Athletes who will be running the first leg may use the SCA Bag & Tag Service provided at the start line. All other relay marathoners may use bags provided on each relay shuttle. Bags with gear can be handed to your incoming teammate or marked with your name and transported to the Bag & Tag area at the finish line.
Timing/Results:
Teams will pass a timing chip from runner to runner using a Velcro® strap; the strap with the chip must be worn around the ankle. At each exchange zone, one runner hands the chip to the next, who fastens it securely to his/her ankle before leaving the relay exchange zone. Relay team results will be listed by overall team rank in Corporate, Male, Female, or Mixed divisions.
Awards:
The top three teams in each division (Corporate, Male, Female, & Mixed) will receive individual and team awards.
Relay Packet Pick-Up & Late Registration:
Relay packet pick-up and late registration will be held from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 19 and Saturday, September 20 from 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. at the Fox Valley Technical College commons area, 1825 N. Bluemound Drive, Appleton.
(ONE person per team must pick up the entire team’s packet)
